This dam repair project in Harvard, Ma was an effort to stabilize the water height in the pond which had been draining out of the 100 year old dam. The original dam is stone and mortar and had many areas which were compromised. Scapes worked together with New England Environmental and the local Conservation Commission to establish a time to drain down the pond and create temporary access across the pond. The back side of the existing dam was excavated and a new concrete buttress wall was poured in place. The area was back filled, the temporary road was removed and the water now sits back at its original height.
